This was Tim's first attempt at post-turning operation.  After the hollow form was completed, he cut the slots on the sides to add a nice visual detail.  The grain pattern compliments the slots.   There is a decorative maple mouth to the vase and a maple disk in the bottom with a 2009 penny embedded in it.
